To program the Proflame GTM System to work with your hearth appliance, follow these steps:
1. **Initializing the System for the first time:**
- Install 4 AA batteries into the receiver battery bay with the correct polarity.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries into the transmitter battery bay.
- Place the receiver's 3-position slider switch in the "Remote" position.
- Using a paper clip, insert it into the hole marked "PRG" on the receiver front cover. The receiver will beep three times to indicate readiness to synchronize with the transmitter.
- Push the On button on the transmitter. The receiver will beep four times to confirm acceptance of the transmitter's command and set to the particular code of that transmitter. The system is now initialized.
2. **Temperature Indication Display:**
- Press the Thermostat Key and the Mode Key simultaneously to check if a C or F is visible to the right of the Room Temperature display on the transmitter's LCD screen.
3. **Turning on the Appliance:**
- Press the ON/OFF Key on the transmitter. The receiver will connect the thermopile to the gas valve millivolt coil, and the appliance's main burner will turn on. A single beep from the receiver confirms reception of the command.
4. **Turning off the Appliance:**
- Press the ON/OFF Key on the transmitter to turn off the appliance. The transmitter's LCD display will only show the room temperature and icon. The receiver will disconnect the thermopile from the gas valve millivolt coil, and the appliance burner will turn off. A single beep from the receiver confirms reception of the command.
5. **Remote Flame Control:**
- The Proflame GTM has six flame levels. Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys on the transmitter to adjust the flame height. A single beep will confirm reception of the command.
By following these steps, you can effectively program and use the Proflame GTM System to control your hearth appliance.
