To program your fingerprint for the SentrySafe Biometric Lock, follow these steps as outlined in the owner's manual:
1. **Adding a User Fingerprint:**
- Press the “PROG” key twice.
- Enter the 5-digit factory code.
- The blue light will blink, indicating the system is ready for a finger swipe.
- Swipe your finger downward over the fingerprint sensor.
- If the swipe is accepted, a green light will flash, and a beep will sound.
- Repeat this process for five to ten accurate reads of the fingerprint for successful enrollment.
- Successful enrollment is confirmed by three flashes of the green light and three beeps. You can enroll a second fingerprint if desired.
- If enrollment fails, the red light will flash three times, and three low beep tones will be heard. Repeat the process.
2. **Deleting a User Fingerprint:**
- Press the “PROG” key twice.
- Enter the 5-digit factory code.
- Press the “CLEAR” button to delete the fingerprint.
- If you only want to use one fingerprint, allow the system to timeout or press the “CLEAR” button.
3. **Additional Tips:**
- Ensure your finger is clean and free of cuts or scars.
- Wash your hands before using the safe.
- Dry skin may not program well, so use a moisturizer and ensure it is absorbed before using the safe.
- Clean the electronic case and fingerprint sensor periodically with a dry, lint-free cloth for optimal accuracy.
- Consistency in finger placement and avoiding cold conditions will improve fingerprint recognition.
