To configure the Kelly KDZ Series/PM Motor Controller using a host computer, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the motor wiring from the controller.
2. Do not connect B+, throttle, and other inputs. The controller may display a fault code in some conditions, but it doesn't affect programming or configuration.
3. Use a straight-through RS232 cable or a USB Converter provided by Kelly to connect the controller to a host computer.
4. Provide a voltage greater than +18V to the PWR input (J2 pin1) of the controller. Wire the power supply return to any RTN pin.
You can download the free configuration software from the Kelly Controller website at http://www.kellycontroller.com/suppor...
**Caution:**
- Make sure the motor is disconnected before running the Configuration Software.
- The Configuration Software may be regularly updated on the website, so remember to update it regularly. Uninstall the older version before updating.
By following these steps and using the provided software, you can easily configure your Kelly KDZ Series/PM Motor Controller to suit your specific requirements.
