To trace network cables using the Spacetronik SP-LT03 Network Cable Tester, follow these steps:
1. **Power On the Transmitter:** Press the Power button on the transmitter to switch it on. Alternatively, you can press the "SCAN" button to select the cable tracing function.
2. **Select Signal Type:** Press the "Hz" button to select the type of signal you want to use for tracing:
- L1: Analogue 1 Signals
- L2: Digital Signals
- L3: Analogue 2 Signals
3. **Connect Cables:**
- Plug the cable you want to trace into the RJ45 or RJ11 jack on the transmitter.
- If the cable doesn't have connectors, you can use the alligator clip provided to connect the pairs or cables.
4. **Prepare Receiver:**
- Press the MODE button on the Receiver for a second to indicate it is ready for tracing by digital signal and sound indication.
5. **Start Tracing:**
- For tracing by digital signal with audio indication: Move the receiver tip near each pair/cable/phone line. The one with the loudest tone is the intended pair/cable/phone line.
- For tracing by analogue signal with audio indication: Press the MODE button on the Receiver twice, then move the receiver tip near each pair/cable/phone line to identify the intended one.
- For tracing by digital signal with vibration indication: Press the MODE button on the Receiver once, then move the receiver tip near each pair/cable/phone line to find the intended one based on vibration strength.
6. **Finish Tracing:**
- After tracing, switch off the Receiver by pressing the MODE button for 3 seconds.
- Switch off the Transmitter by pressing the power button for 3 seconds.
By following these steps, you can effectively trace network cables using the Spacetronik SP-LT03 Network Cable Tester.
