To initialize the Dahua ASI2212J-PW Access Standalone device for first-time use or after restoring factory defaults, follow these steps:
1. Prerequisites:
- Make sure your computer or phone is on the same LAN as the Access Standalone device.
2. Initialization Procedure:
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the Access Standalone device (default address is 192.168.1.108).
- Enter and confirm a password that consists of 8 to 32 non-blank characters and contains at least two types of characters (upper case, lower case, numbers, and special characters).
- Enter an email address and click "Completed."
- Keep the password safe after initialization and change it regularly for security purposes.
- If you want to reset the administrator password by scanning the QR code, ensure you have the linked email address to receive the security code.
3. Logging In:
- Open a web browser and go to the IP address of the Access Standalone device.
- Enter the default username "admin" and the password you set during initialization.
- Click "Login" to access the device's main menu screen and its webpage.
