Physical Dimensions:
The physical dimensions of the EG2-0800 series are 30mm x 140mm x 95mm.
LED Indicators:
The front panel of the switch features LED indicators for power status and network status. The LED colors and their meanings are as follows:
- P1 (Green): On - Power input 1 is active, Off - Power input 1 is inactive
- P2 (Green): On - Power input 2 is active, Off - Power input 2 is inactive
- Fault (Red): On - Power input 1 or 2 is inactive, Off - Power input 1 and 2 are both functional, or no power inputs
- LAN Port LINK/ACT/SPEED: Green - On - Connected to network, Flashing - Networking is active, Off - Not connected to network
Wiring Instructions:
- Use copper conductors with a wire gauge ranging between 18~20 AWG for the terminal block connector.
- Wiring the power inputs involves inserting positive and negative wires into the PWR1 (V1+, V1-) and PWR2 (V2+, V2-) contacts on the terminal block connector and tightening the wire-clamp screws.
- The fault alarm contact is in the middle of the terminal block connector and can be used to detect power failure or port link failure.
Mounting Options:
- DIN-Rail Mounting: The DIN-Rail is pre-installed on the switch, and instructions for installing and removing it are provided in the manual.
- Wall Mounting: Wall mounting brackets are included, and steps for mounting the switch on a wall are detailed in the manual.
Installation Steps:
- Unpack the switch and check for the DIN-Rail bracket. If not installed, follow the DIN-Rail mounting instructions.
- Power on the switch and connect Ethernet cables following the provided cabling instructions.
- Check LED indicators for normal operation.
