To update the firmware for the MICROCHIP HBA 1200 controller to the latest release mentioned in the release notes (3.01.04.072), follow these steps:
1. Check Current Firmware Version:
Before updating, verify the current firmware version of your controller. If it is 3.01.00.006 or lower, contact the Adaptec Apps team at ask.adaptec.com for assistance.
2. Download Firmware File:
Download the firmware file "SmartFWx200.bin" provided in the release notes package.
3. Flash Firmware:
If your controller is running firmware version 3.01.02.042 or higher, use the maxView or ARCCONF utility to flash the 3.01.04.072 firmware file onto the controller.
