To prevent coffee overflow when using the single-serve side of the Hamilton Beach The Scoop 2 Way Brewer, follow these tips as outlined in the user manual:
1. **Use the Correct Amount of Water:** Do not exceed 14 ounces (410 ml) of water in the single-serve reservoir. Fill the reservoir with the mug or cup into which the coffee will be brewed.
2. **Proper Grounds Measurement:** Use a maximum of two level tablespoons of grounds for regular coffee. For decaf or flavored coffees, use slightly less grounds to avoid overflow.
3. **Check Grounds Level:** The single-serve brew basket has markings for 8 oz. (250 ml) and 14 oz. (410 ml) of coffee. Do not fill the scoop to the top to prevent overflow.
4. **Press ON/OFF Button:** Press the I/O (ON/OFF) button to start the flow of coffee. The coffeemaker will shut off automatically after the brew cycle is complete. If needed, you can stop the flow of coffee mid-cycle by pressing the I/O (ON/OFF) button again.
