The TapBoost pump is equipped with LED indicators that provide information about its current status. When the pump is in 'Standby Mode' (power to the pump but outlet closed), the blue LED will remain solid for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, the LED will turn off to avoid causing a nuisance, but the pump will still be in 'Standby Mode'.
When an outlet is opened and water starts to flow, the pump will enter 'Boosting Mode', and the blue LED will fast flash to indicate this. If the outlet is closed, the pump will return to 'Standby Mode', and the LED will remain solid for 5 minutes as described earlier.
If the flow rate reaches 11 liters per minute (lpm) or more, the pump will enter 'Idle Mode', indicated by a slow pulsing blue LED. This mode ensures that the boosted output flow does not exceed 12 lpm, complying with regulations. If the flow drops below 11 lpm, the pump will switch back to 'Boosting Mode', indicated by a fast flashing blue LED.
By observing these LED patterns, you can determine if your TapBoost pump is operating correctly and providing the intended boost to your water flow.
