If your powerline socket only contains 3 lines - Live/Load line, Neutral line, and Ground line, you can still install the TP-Link HS200 Smart WiFi Light Switch following these steps:
1. **Confirm Electrical Requirements:** Ensure that you have a neutral line available in your wall box. If there is no neutral line, do not proceed with the installation and consult a professional electrician.
2. **Turn Off Power:** Turn off the power at the circuit breaker that controls the light switch. Use a voltage tester to confirm that no voltage is present.
3. **Remove Existing Switch:** Remove the existing faceplate and light switch to access the wiring.
4. **Identify Lines:** Identify the Live/Load, Neutral, and Ground lines in your powerline socket.
5. **Connect Wiring:** Connect the Smart Switch wiring as follows:
- Connect each of the two black wires from the switch to the available Live lines using wire connectors.
- Connect the Green wire on the switch (Ground line) to the Ground line.
- Connect the White wire on the switch (Neutral line) to the Neutral line.
6. **Secure Switch:** Mount the Smart Switch onto the wall box using the provided screws. Attach the included wall plate or your existing one.
7. **Restore Power:** Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker to activate the Smart Switch.
Please note that the TP-Link HS200 Smart WiFi Light Switch is designed for single pole switch installations and requires a neutral line. If you encounter any difficulties during the installation process, it is recommended to seek assistance from a professional electrician to ensure safety and proper installation.
