To install MERLIC MVTec software on your computer, make sure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor: x64 quad-core (2.50 GHz)
- Memory: at least 4 GB
- Graphics: 1920x1080 resolution, 32-bit color, OpenGL 3.0
- Hard Disk: 6 GB of free space (more space is needed during the installation process)
Here are the steps to install MERLIC:
1. Download the MVTec Software Manager (SOM) from the MVTec website.
2. Extract the SOM package and run the "som.exe" file as an administrator.
3. On the SOM start page, switch to the "AVAILABLE" page.
4. Click on the "INSTALL" button next to the MERLIC version you want to install.
5. In the installation dialog, select the version and installation directory (default is recommended).
6. Click on "APPLY" to start the installation process and log in with your MVTec account if prompted.
7. Once the installation is complete, you can activate your MERLIC license using a license dongle and activation ticket provided by your local distributor. Follow the instructions in the manual for license activation.
Please note that the trial version of MERLIC is also available for testing purposes. It allows you to use the full functionality of the "X-Large" package for 45 days without a trial license. The trial version is bound to the computer on which MERLIC is installed and has some limitations, such as a time limit for running Vision Apps and the inability to use custom tools.
