To install SteelConnect EX on Microsoft Azure, you need to follow these steps:
1. Upload SteelConnect EX Image to Azure Portal:
- Log in to the Azure portal and navigate to the Azure portal.
- Upload the SteelConnect EX software image to the Azure portal.
2. Create an Azure Active Directory Application:
- Register the SteelConnect EX software as an application in Azure Active Directory (AD).
- Define who can access the SteelConnect EX software and specify the actions users are permitted to perform with the software.
3. Get the Application ID, Tenant ID, and Client Secret:
- Obtain the application ID, tenant ID, and client secret required to sign in to the SteelConnect EX application in Azure AD.
4. Assign a Role to the Azure AD Subscription:
- Assign a role at your Azure subscription level for the application to access the resources in your Azure AD.
5. Connect a SteelConnect EX Branch to SteelConnect EX Director:
- Establish a cloud management system (CMS) connector between SteelConnect EX Director and the branch device in Azure.
6. Create Organizations:
- Ensure that you have created the necessary organizations associated with the CMS connector.
7. Add a CMS Connector:
- Log in to SteelConnect EX Director and navigate to the Connectors > CMS section.
- Add a CMS connector and provide the required information.
8. Test the CMS Connector:
- Validate the CMS connector to ensure it is operating properly.
9. Associate a CMS Connector with an Organization:
- Associate the CMS connector with the organization you have configured on SteelConnect EX Director.
