To reset and login to your NETGEAR EX7000 WiFi Mesh Range Extender, please follow the steps below:
1. Resetting the Range Extender:
- Locate the reset button on the side panel of the range extender.
- Use a paperclip or a similar object to press and hold the reset button for about 5 seconds until the Power LED blinks amber.
- Release the reset button. The range extender will reboot and restore the factory default settings.
2. Logging in to the Range Extender:
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the range extender's WiFi network. The default network name (SSID) is "NETGEAR_EXT".
- Open a web browser on your connected device and enter "www.mywifiext.net" in the address bar. Press Enter.
- You will be prompted to enter the default username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password". Enter these credentials and click on the Login button.
- If the default login credentials do not work, it is possible that you have changed them previously. In that case, you will need to perform a factory reset as mentioned in step 1 to restore the default login credentials.
Once you have successfully logged in, you can proceed to configure your NETGEAR EX7000 WiFi Mesh Range Extender according to your preferences using the admin interface.
