How do I replace the battery in the Sperry VD6508 Non-Contact Voltage Tester?
I have been using my Sperry VD6508 Non-Contact Voltage Tester for a while, and now it seems like the battery is running low. I want to replace the battery, but I'm not sure how to do it. Can you provide instructions on how to replace the battery in the Sperry VD6508?
To replace the battery in the Sperry VD6508 Non-Contact Voltage Tester, follow these steps:
1. Slide the pocket clip (#5) up as indicated by the arrow on the side of the pocket clip. This will release the pocket clip.
2. Once the pocket clip is released, you will have access to the battery compartment. Remove the old battery from the compartment.
3. Insert a new AAA battery into the battery compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) and negative (-) ends are correctly aligned.
4. Slide the pocket clip back into place, securing the battery compartment.
5. Test the battery by pressing the power button (#6) on the top side of the tester. If the battery is good, the light will flash, and the speaker will chirp momentarily.
Note: The Sperry VD6508 operates on a single AAA battery, which is typically included with the device. If the battery is not included or needs replacement, ensure you use a new AAA battery.
