Important Safety Information

Appearance

The camera features the following external components:

  • Lens: The primary optical component for capturing images.
  • System LED: Indicates the operational status of the camera.
  • Privacy Mode Button: Used to activate or deactivate privacy mode, which hides the camera lens.
  • Micro SD RESET: A button for resetting the camera or related functions.
  • Micro SD Card Slot: For inserting a microSD card for local storage.

Note: Tilt the camera lens upwards to locate the RESET button and the microSD card slot.

Slot & Button Explanation

  • RESET Button: While the camera is on, press and hold the RESET button for at least 5 seconds until the LED blinks red.
  • microSD Card Slot: Insert a microSD card and initialize it on the Tapo app for local recording.
  • Privacy Mode Button: Press the button to turn Privacy Mode on and off. When Privacy Mode is on, the camera lens is hidden.

Set Up Your Camera

  1. STEP 1: DOWNLOAD APP

    Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. STEP 2: POWER UP

    Plug in your camera and wait until the LED blinks red and green.

  3. STEP 3: SET UP

    Tap the button in the app and select your model. Follow the app instructions to complete setup.

Mount Your Camera

  1. 1. Mark Position

    Place the mounting template where you want the camera. For wall mounting, drill two holes through two circles on the template.

  2. 2. Mount Base

    Affix the camera base using the screws. For wall mounting, insert two anchors into the holes and use the screws to affix the camera base over the anchors.

  3. 3. Secure Camera

    Attach the camera onto the base and rotate to secure it.
