This video provides a visual guide to the main features and operational steps of the AUTOOL EM385, demonstrating how to switch between modes and utilize its core functionalities.
5.1. Programming Power Mode
This mode is specifically designed to provide a stable voltage under varying loads during major vehicle ECU reprogramming and diagnostic work. It supplies current up to 150A with a voltage range of 9-16V, ensuring stable data transmission.

Figure 5.1.1: Programming Power Mode Interface
In Programming Power Mode, you can precisely set the output voltage within the 9-16V range to meet the specific requirements of vehicle ECU programming, ensuring a consistent power supply.
5.2. Fast Charging Mode
The Fast Charging mode supports both lead-acid and lithium batteries with a multi-stage intelligent charging process. It uses pulse charging initially, switches to high-power charging, and then to trickle charging to prevent overcharging.
- Lead-acid battery charging: 40A/12V
- Lithium battery charging: 20A/12V

Figure 5.2.1: Fast Charging Mode Interface
The device automatically adjusts charging power for optimal efficiency, stopping when the battery is full to prevent overcharging.

Figure 5.2.2: Compatible Battery Types
The EM385 supports a wide range of rechargeable batteries, including standard lead-acid, AGM flat, AGM spiral, EFB, GEL, LFP, and NCM lithium batteries.
5.3. Adjustable Power Mode
This mode allows for adjustable voltage and current output, making the EM385 suitable for powering various external devices or for specific testing scenarios.
- Volumetage 3-8.9V, current adjustable 1-20A.
