Product Description

The Braun CareStyle 1 Pro is a steam generator iron designed for efficient and effective ironing.

Intended Use

The appliance must be used only for ironing garments which are suitable for ironing according to the care label. Never iron or dampen garments while wearing them.

Filling the Water Tank

Ensure the appliance is unplugged before filling. For extremely hard water, a 50% tap water and 50% distilled water mixture is recommended. Do not use condensation water from a tumble dryer.

• Level 1 (•): Synthetics
• Level 2 (••): Wool, silk, polyester
• Level 3 (•••): Cotton, linen

Descaling

The system will remind you to descale regularly, regardless of water type. Descaling can be performed at any time, even if not indicated by the system.

If the 'clean' LED and acoustic signal turn on during ironing, you can continue ironing. Cleaning is not immediately required and can be done after finishing or the next time the appliance is switched on.

If the appliance is switched off without cleaning, the 'clean' LED and acoustic signal will activate upon the next power-on. If there is no steam and the 'clean' LED is on, the temperature control LED is flashing, and the acoustic signal is active, cleaning is mandatory to proceed.

Caution: Do not leave the appliance unattended during descaling. Always use the cleaning vessel and do not interrupt the process by lifting the iron, as hot water and steam may escape.

Caution: The cleaning vessel may be hot and contain hot water. Handle with care.

Troubleshooting

Problem: The iron does not produce steam

Solution: Press and hold the steam button until steam appears. This may take up to 30 seconds. If the 'clean' system LED is on, perform the cleaning process. Wait until the temperature control LED is permanently on.

Problem: The iron does not produce any steam

Solution: Perform the cleaning process if the 'clean' system LED turns on (see dedicated chapter). Wait until the iron heats up and the temperature control LED turns permanently on.

Problem: The appliance has switched off

Solution: The auto-off mode has been activated. To switch the iron on again, select a temperature level. The appliance will start heating up again.

Problem: During ironing, white particles and impurities are coming out from the soleplate

Solution: If your water is extremely hard, use a 50% tap water and 50% distilled water mixture. Perform the cleaning process regularly, even if the system does not require it.

Problem: The first time the appliance is turned on, you notice smoke/smell

Solution: This is normal and will stop after a few uses.

Care and Cleaning

Regular descaling is important for maintaining the performance of your steam generator iron.

Storage

Store the iron in a cool, dry place. Ensure the cord is neatly wrapped.
