3 Operating Instructions

⚠️ WARNING

Wear an approved helmet and other protective gear to minimize any possible injury.

1 Power ON

Turn on the E-bike by sending specific commands through the server or by tapping the customized NFC card. The dashboard lights up when powered on successfully, indicating the E-bike is ready to go.

2 Adjust the Saddle Height

For a comfortable ride, when sitting on the saddle, place the heel of your foot on the pedal. Your other foot should touch the ground.

Diagram Description: A close-up diagram shows the seat post with a "minimum inserting depth mark". Another diagram shows the "Seat post clamp".

⚠️ WARNING

DO NOT pull the seat post higher than the minimum inserting depth mark, as this may lead to accidents and injury.

How to adjust the height: Pull the seat post clamp outwards, adjust the saddle to the proper height and angle, and then close the clamp to secure the saddle. Ensure the clamp and saddle are stable when closed.

3 Choose the Riding Mode

There are three riding modes available. New riders are recommended to start with ECO Assist mode and maintain a low speed.

4 Braking

Brake by squeezing the brake lever. It is recommended to engage both brake levers simultaneously.

Diagram Description: An illustration shows a hand squeezing a brake lever.

To turn, shift your body weight and gently turn the handlebar towards your direction of travel.

⚠️ WARNING

Abrupt braking risks serious injury due to loss of traction and falls. Maintain a moderate speed and be aware of potential hazards.

6 User Maintenance Instructions

Cleaning

Wash with water and a neutral detergent, using a soft, wet cloth.

CAUTION

⚠️ WARNING

Before cleaning, ensure the E-bike is powered off. Always remove the battery during maintenance.

Moving and Storage

Store in a dry, cool place away from sunlight and rain to prevent rust and prolong service life. Fully charge the battery before long-term storage to prevent over-discharge.

Before lifting, moving, or transporting the E-bike, ensure it is powered off. Handle with care, avoiding violent force (e.g., throwing, heavy pressure). Keep away from fire and water.

Battery Storage

Battery storage temperature depends on storage duration:

If not using the E-bike for an extended period, remove the fully charged battery, store it in a dry, well-ventilated place, and charge it every two months.

⚠️ WARNING

Charger

Lubrication

Lubricate the chains approximately every two weeks with bicycle-specific chain lube.

Chain Tension and Adjustment

Correct chain tension: With 3.5 oz (100 g) pressure, there should be 0.6-1.0 in (15-25 mm) of free play in the chain.

How to adjust: Loosen the axle nuts on both sides, then adjust the bolt. Once proper free play is achieved, tighten the axle nuts. Ensure there is no abnormal noise and the wheels turn freely.

Tightening torque: 12-14 N·m

Diagram Description: A diagram shows the rear wheel axle area with an "Adjusting bolt" and "axle nut" indicated.

Brakes and Friction Components

Drum brake adjustment requires professional technicians. Only replace friction components with original spare parts. Contact Segway-Ninebot after-sales service for details.
