The Newentor Weather Station system includes a main display console (either Q3 or Q5) and one or more remote sensors. The Q3 model features a 7.5-inch LCD screen, while the Q5 model has a 6-inch screen and supports up to three remote sensors.

3. Konfiguracja

3.1 Instalacja baterii

  1. Main Display Console: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert the required batteries (typically AA or AAA, refer to the battery compartment label) according to the polarity markings (+/-). Close the compartment.
  2. Zdalne czujniki: Open the battery compartment on each remote sensor. Insert the required batteries (typically AA or AAA) according to the polarity markings. Close the compartment.

Note: It is recommended to insert batteries into the remote sensors first, then into the main display console to ensure proper synchronization.

3.2 Umiejscowienie czujnika

For accurate outdoor readings, place remote sensors in a shaded, dry location, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the sensor is protected from rain and snow. The maximum wireless transmission range is approximately 200 feet (60 meters) in open air. Walls and other obstructions may reduce this range.

3.3 Initial Synchronization and Settings

  1. After battery installation, the main console will automatically search for remote sensors. This may take a few minutes. The outdoor temperature/humidity will appear once connected.
  2. Czas i data: For Q5 models, the WWVB signal will attempt to synchronize the time automatically. If manual setting is required or for Q3 models, press the 'SET' button to enter time/date setting mode. Use 'UP' or 'DOWN' buttons to adjust values and 'SET' to confirm and move to the next setting.
  3. Jednostki temperatury: Press the '℃/℉' button (if available) or use the 'SET' menu to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  4. Barometric Pressure Units: If applicable, use the 'SET' menu to select units (e.g., inHg, hPa/mb).

4.1 Wyświetlanie informacji

  • Ciśnienie barometryczne: Shows current atmospheric pressure and a trend indicator (rising, falling, stable).

4.2 Funkcje przycisków

Refer to the specific button labels on your console for exact functions. Common buttons include:

  • ZESTAW: Enters setting mode, confirms selections.
  • UP/DOWN (or +/ -): Adjusts values in setting mode, cycles through display options.
  • CH (kanał): Cycles through remote sensor channels (for Q5 with multiple sensors).
  • ALARM: Enters alarm setting mode, activates/deactivates alarm.
  • ALARM: (Q3 only) Sets temperature alerts.
  • DRZEMKA/ŚWIATŁO: Activates snooze during an alarm, adjusts backlight brightness.

4.3 WWVB Signal Function (Q5)

The Q5 model features automatic time synchronization via the WWVB radio signal. The station will attempt to receive this signal daily, typically overnight. A signal icon will appear on the display when the signal is successfully received and synchronized.

5. Konserwacja

5.1 Czyszczenie

Wipe the display console and remote sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surfaces and electronic components.

5.2 Wymiana baterii

When the low battery indicator appears on the display for either the main unit or a remote sensor, replace all batteries in that unit with new ones of the specified type. Ensure correct polarity during installation.

  • No Outdoor Reading / Sensor Not Connecting:
    • Ensure batteries are correctly installed in both the sensor and main unit.
    • Press the 'RESET' button on both the sensor and main unit (if available).
    • Bring the sensor closer to the main unit to check for signal interference.
    • Change the channel on the remote sensor and then press the 'CH' button on the main unit to rescan.

    • The signal is strongest at night. Allow several nights for successful synchronization.
