• HELP CATS ADAPT TO THE DEVICE
To help cats adapt to use this device more quickly, here are suggestions for those few cats that may initially struggle:
- Place this device alongside the cat’s previous litter box (without moving the old box) and sprinkle some old litter from the previous box onto the new litter in this device. Curious cats may explore the new device within few days.
- If the cat remains uninterested, use catnip or the cat’s favorite treats or items to guide them into the new device.
- Consider adding specially designed litter for training cats to use the litter box inside this device.
- When transitioning to this device, it’s advisable not to change the brand/type of litter previously used, as this can create resistance and anxiety in cats.
- For timid cats, when initially introducing this device, turn off the power and gradually reintroduce it once the cat has adapted.
- Avoid cleaning the old litter box, as cats naturally prefer clean litter. Increasingly dirty litter signals to cats, encouraging them to choose a cleaner spot for elimination.
- Once the cat starts using this device, promptly remove the old litter box.
