2-wire
Single wire for both fan and light

Fan Limiter

Some fan / lights have a limiter. Please note that Lutron fan controls with a dimmer may not perform as intended when used with a fan / light with a limiter.

Direct Current (DC) fans

Although most fans are alternating current (AC) fans, some newer fans are available with DC. Please note that Lutron fan controls are not designed to control DC fans.
