Question & Answer

How to change the longer prongs for this collar? I don’t think they are getting through my Labs thick hair.

Just part the hair or trim it a bit. I have a dog with very thick neck of hair. I parted it with my hands . Just be sure remote is off then start on low setting and work your way up. If no response repeat steps of working prongs thru hair remember to turn off or lock remote.

  1. My pet is not responding when I press a beep vibration or static button.
Check the Receiver Collar if it is On.
Please check to see if the battery is low in either the Remote Transmitter or Receiver Collar.
Verify the Receiver Collar is delivering Stimulation to your pet by placing the Test Light, enclosed in your kit, on the Receiver Collar.
Increase the correction level. Refer to “Find the Best Stimulation Level For Your dog”.
Make sure the Receiver Collar’s Contact Points are placed snugly against your pet’s skin.
  2. The Receiver Collar will not turn on.
Make sure the Receiver Collar has been charged.
  3. The Receiver Collar is not responding to the Remote Transmitter.
Verify the Receiver Collar has been turned on.

    1. Yes. The collar and receiver is waterproof but the remote control is not.

  1. I received my NVK shock collar on May 6, 2021 I have charged it, but now it will not charge. Need help.

  2. I have a NVK dog collar. The collar was working fine. Then it stopped and I realized it was no longer paired. I have followed the instruction to UN-pair the collar and reset it. It will not pair. Both collar and remote are charged. I have tried multi times to pair.
    1. I do not understand why it all of sudden became un-paired ?
    2. the dog icon flashes on the remote control. But will not pair the collar to the remote.
    3. is there some secret to the STEPS in pairing or is the collar / remote broken ??

  3. I have the same problem as Don. The unit will not pair. Should you replace the defective transmitter and receiver?

  4. I’ve had this shot collar for 3 months now all of a sudden it won’t pair with the receiver. Battires are all charged.

  5. Can the contact points (shock prongs) be removed? I only want to use the sound/vibrate feature. The prongs are very aggressive and my dog is responding to the sound.

  6. i have the same problem as the comment before mine! i had one and it was working fine then i bought a second one and tried to pair it to the remote. now neither collar works and the only thing the remote will do is flash the channel 1 dog. i have tried to reset it but it will not do anything other then flash. i have emailed support multiple times and no response. please help!

  7. Why is the collar beeping? Its scaring the crap out of my dog and I am not pressing any buttons for the collar to beep.

  8. I purchased my NVK collar about two months ago, I noticed that the shock collar and the transmitter don’t communicate anymore. What do I need to do to get it work again.

  9. The manufacturer’s instructions makes the assumption that one has already purchased another type of collar and are now ready to use theirs. Can someone just write a manual to tell me how to set it up. I push the buttons as instructed and the responses are not as they describe. Classic instructions where the teacher assumes that me, the student, already knows how to use the product. Ridiculous.

  10. I need to order the tool that tightens or loosens the contact points, and also I need to order 2 long contact points and the conductive Silicone for the long contact points and also conductive Silicone for the short contact points….
Our original ones were accidentally thrown out after our dog chewed up the box that they were still in.
    Thank You

  15. My 45 pound dog yipes when the shock level is on one. Is this normal or is my collar malfunctioning.
