5. Installatie en instellingen

5.1 Het apparaat monteren

Select a suitable location for mounting the ZK-F28, typically near the door it will control or in a central location for time attendance. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and at an appropriate height for user access. Use the provided mounting template (if any) and hardware to secure the device firmly to the wall.

  • Voeding: Connect a 12V DC power source to the designated power input terminals. Ensure the power supply meets the device's requirements.
  • Network (TCP/IP): Connect an Ethernet cable from the device's RJ45 port to your network switch or router for network communication and data transfer.
  • Serial Communication (RS232/485): For serial communication, connect the appropriate RS232 or RS485 cables to the corresponding terminals.
  • Access Control Interface:

6.2 Gebruikersbeheer

To enroll new users, access the 'User Mgt' menu. You can register fingerprints, assign user IDs, and set user roles (e.g., administrator, general user). Follow the on-screen instructions for fingerprint enrollment, ensuring the finger is placed correctly on the scanner for optimal recognition.

6.3 Time Attendance Functions

For time attendance, users simply place their registered finger on the scanner. The device will record the time and display a confirmation message. The system automatically switches status (e.g., In/Out) based on configured settings or manual selection.
