Warranty

  • Nixieshop.com values your business and always attempts to provide you with the very best quality of service. We provide a lifetime warranty for electronics and a two-year warranty for tubes.
  • The warranty applies only to the products manufactured by Nixie Shop.
  • The warranty covers burned-out tubes (up to three), and problems with the electronics of the clock.
  • The warranty does not cover 12V external power supply, damage of a product resulting from negligence; damage of a product resulting from unauthorized modification of the product; damage caused by natural disaster; theft, or loss of the product.

Powering up

  • On the rear panel of the clock, there is a power socket for a 12V 2.1mm x 5.5mm power jack. Plugging in and turning on the power, the clock will perform a brief self-test to confirm its operation.
  • The digits on the clock will scroll through from 0-9, and then the clock will make a short beep. Some of the tubes may take several seconds to “warm up” and stabilize after being off and may flicker (especially IN-8, IN-8-2, and IN-14 with fine anode grid).

Sleep mode

  • Setting the clock to use sleep mode can help prolong the life of the Nixie tubes and save electricity.
  • To enter the sleep mode the clock can use the built-in motion sensor (see the menu #23 and #24), the sleep timer (see the menu #20 and #21), and the IR button“*”.
  • To disable the sleep timer – set the start value equal to the end value. Please note the sleep timer uses 24-hour format values.
  • For best results, the clock should also be set to 24H mode (see menu #12).
  • The IR remote overrides the sleep timer; the sleep timer overrides the motion sensor – please remember these priorities when setting the clock up.

Settings and Adjustments

There are two ways to adjust the various settings of the clock:

  1. The knob on the rear of the clock. Pressing it in once changes the menu items, and twisting it changes the values.
  2. Using the IR remote control. The “OK” button acts as a menu button and changes the current menu setting, pressing the up/right arrows increases the current value, and down/left arrows decreases the values. The 0-9 buttons change the color scheme of RGB lights. The “*” acts as an OFF button and the “#” button switches the clock ON.NixieShop-IN-14-Desktop-Clock-fig-1
