3. Setup

Upon first use, ensure the caliper is ready for operation:

  1. Unlocking the Caliper: When first taking out the digital caliper from its case, remember to loosen the locking screw located on the top of the digital unit. This allows the caliper jaws to move freely.
  2. Cleaning Measuring Surfaces: Before each measurement, gently clean the measuring surfaces of the jaws with a soft, clean cloth or paper. This helps remove any dust or debris that could affect accuracy.
  3. It-Tiffissar taż-Żero tal-Kalibru: Close the jaws completely and press the 'ZERO' button. The display should read 0.00. This sets the reference point for accurate measurements.
