Grinding Technique

1. Gently hold your pet's paw and carefully separate the toes to expose the nails.
2. Choose the appropriate grinding port and speed setting.
3. Turn on the LED lights for better visibility.
4. Place the nail gently into the chosen grinding port.
5. Grind the nail in short bursts (5-7 seconds) to prevent the nail from getting too hot. Allow the nail to cool between bursts.
6. Grind the nail from the bottom up, shaping it smoothly. Be careful not to grind into the quick (the pink part of the nail containing blood vessels and nerves).
7. Repeat for all nails, rewarding your pet frequently.
