ARC Audio Extractor
Model: CAM038
Connection and Operations
The connection diagram illustrates how to connect the CAMWAY 192kHz ARC Audio Extractor (3.5mm Output Model). A TV is linked via an HDMI cable to the ARC Audio Extractor, which receives power from a USB power cord connected to the TV's USB port. The extracted audio is output through a 3.5mm connection to a headset or speakers.
- Connect the HDMI port of the adapter to the ARC port of the TV using an HDMI cable. Ensure the TV's HDMI port is marked with "ARC".
- Use an optical cable, coaxial cable, or RCA cable, along with a 3.5mm audio cable, to connect to the amplifier system.
- Connect the DC 5V interface of the adapter to the USB port of the TV using the provided USB power cable for power supply.
Diagram of Interfaces: 3.5mm Output Model
- 1. DC 5V: 5V Power Interface
- 2. PWR: Power Indicator
- 3. ARC IN: ARC input port (connects to the ARC interface of the TV; does not support HDMI eARC)
- 4. 3.5mm: 3.5mm stereo output

Important Notes
- Ensure your TV has an HDMI "ARC" interface and supports the HDMI ARC function.
- Set the audio output to PCM or LPCM before using HDMI ARC. If the output audio is 3.5mm AUX stereo or L/R RCA, ensure the audio source is set to LPCM / PCM format.
- Turn on the TV's CEC function to control volume (this feature is supported for 3.5mm output interfaces only).
- The display of a volume control bar when adjusting volume depends on the TV brand. Some brands (e.g., Sony, Xiaomi) show a full bar, while others (e.g., LG, Samsung) may only display '+' and '-' symbols.
- The output volume of the 3.5mm interface is adjustable via the remote control. If no sound or low volume occurs, use the remote to increase it. The output volume for optical interfaces is fixed at 100% and is not controllable by this product.
- Whether TV speakers produce sound synchronously with the product depends on the TV's settings.
- This product does not support HDMI eARC.
- Use a standard 19+1 HDMI cable to ensure support for the ARC function.
Common Fault Diagnosis and Processing Methods
Before powering on, carefully check that all cables are normal and connectors are properly connected.
Common Faults and Solutions:
1. Non-Power-Connected
A. Check Power Light: If the power light is off, verify the power supply and power cable are securely connected to the power connector.
B. Check Power Supply: Ensure the power supply is DC 5V and the current reaches at least 500mA.
2. Non-Audio / Low Volume
A. TV ARC Support: Confirm that the TV supports the ARC function.
B. Adapter Switch: Ensure the adapter switch is in the ON state.
C. HDMI Connection: Verify the HDMI cable is connected to the TV's ARC-compatible HDMI port.
D. TV ARC Function: Confirm the TV's ARC function is enabled (use the TV's remote control).
E. HDMI Cable Quality: Use an AGW26 standard HDMI 1.4 HD cable. Inferior quality or HDMI 1.3 versions may not support ARC.
F. Volume Adjustment: Continuously press the volume "+" key on the remote control to increase the volume and check for sound.
3. 3.5mm Port Noise
A. TV Output Setting: Set the TV to stereo output (PCM/LPCM 2-channel output).
