The GiiKER Super Reversi offers three distinct game modes, selectable via a switch on the side of the console:

1. Solo Mode (AI Battle)

Play against an adaptive AI opponent. The AI adjusts its difficulty based on your performance, ensuring a challenging yet fair experience. This mode is ideal for improving strategic thinking and long-term planning.

2. Head-to-Head Mode (PVP)

Engage in competitive matches against another player. The interactive board manages valid moves and piece flipping, allowing players to focus entirely on strategy. A single decision can significantly alter the game's outcome.

3. Challenge Mode

This mode features 500 preset puzzles designed to test planning, logic, and foresight. Each puzzle presents a unique board setup that requires calculated moves to solve. It functions as a dedicated brain-training console for strategy enthusiasts.

Basic Gameplay (Reversi Rules)

The objective of Reversi is to have the majority of your color pieces on the board at the end of the game. Players take turns placing pieces on the 8x8 grid.

Placing Pieces

  1. On your turn, use the Control Dial to select an empty square where you can "sandwich" one or more of your opponent's pieces between your new piece and an existing piece of your color.
  2. Valid moves are indicated by the LED board.
  3. Press the Action Button to confirm your move.

Flipping Pieces

When a piece is placed, all of the opponent's pieces that are "sandwiched" (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) between the new piece and another piece of your color are flipped to your color. The GiiKER Super Reversi automatically handles this process.

Mutunga o te Keemu

The game ends when neither player can make a valid move, or when the board is completely filled. The player with the most pieces of their color on the board wins.
