Follow these steps to set up your Sainlogic SA9 Weather Station.
1. Display Console Pairing & Wi-Fi Setup
The display console connects to the Weatherseed App via Wi-Fi (2.4G only) and Bluetooth for initial setup.
- Download the Weatherseed App: Rapua "Weatherseed" in your app store and install it.
- Open the App and Add Device: Launch the Weatherseed App, tap "Add Device", and select the SA9 model.
- Enable Bluetooth on your Phone: Ensure Bluetooth is active on your smartphone.
- Activate Bluetooth Pairing Mode on Display: Patohia me te pupuri i te Min/Mōrahi button on the right side of the display for 5 seconds. The Bluetooth icon and "BT" will light up on the screen.
- Karapa QR Code: In the app, skip the network configuration tutorial and scan the QR code located on the back of the display console.
- Select Bluetooth Pairing Mode: Choose "Bluetooth distribution network" in the app.
- Hono ki te Wi-Fi 2.4GHz: Once successfully connected via Bluetooth, the app will prompt you to configure the network. Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password. Tap "Start binding".
After successful connection, your device will appear in the app interface, providing 24/7 accurate weather forecasts and alerts.

2. Outdoor Sensor Pairing
The outdoor transmitter (7-in-1 sensor) wirelessly connects to the display console.
- Activate Pairing Mode on Display: Patohia me te pupuri i te Hongere button on the display console for 3 seconds. Other icons on the screen will go out, and the search icon will begin to flash.
- Reset Outdoor Transmitter: Pehia te WHAKATURU key on the outdoor transmitter. The LED light will blink.
- Whakaū Hononga: The outdoor transmitter and console will start pairing. Once successfully connected, the search icon on the display will stop flashing, and weather data will appear.

3. Outdoor Transmitter Installation
Proper installation of the outdoor transmitter is crucial for accurate readings. Ensure the transmitter is fixed securely to prevent movement in windy conditions.
- Tauwāhi: Choose an open area at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) off the ground, away from obstructions that could affect wind, rain, or sunlight readings.
- Takotoranga: If located in the Northern Hemisphere, aim the 'S' sign on the sensor towards the North. If in the Southern Hemisphere, aim the 'S' sign towards the South.
- Kōwhiringa Whakapuru: Use the provided adjustable bracket and screws to mount the sensor on a pole or flat surface.
- Whakataumata: Use the built-in bubble level on the sensor to ensure it is perfectly horizontal for accurate rain and wind measurements.

- Whakaatu Raraunga: The 8.5-inch screen shows temperature (°C/°F), humidity, rainfall, wind speed/direction, UV and sunlight levels, barometric pressure, time, and date.
- Ata Matapae: Dynamic icons indicate upcoming weather conditions.
- Matohi Whakaritea: Set alerts for temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure directly from the Weatherseed App.
Weatherseed App Integration
The Weatherseed App enhances your weather monitoring experience:
- 24/7 AI Weather Forecasts: Access accurate, AI-driven forecasts for 24 hours and 7 days.
- Aroturuki Wā-tūturu: View live data from your outdoor sensor and indoor conditions.
- Matohi Inamata: Receive notifications via the app or email for critical weather changes.
- Raraunga Hono: Access up to 2 years of historical data through charts and graphs.
- Kaweake Raraunga: Download historical data in Excel format for detailed analysis (up to 30 days per export).
- Weather Underground Connection: The app supports connection to Weather Underground for sharing and comparing data.

- Inaccurate Rain Gauge Readings: Check the rain collector for any blockages (e.g., leaves, insects). Ensure the outdoor sensor is level.
- Wā/Rā hē: Ensure the display console is connected to Wi-Fi, as it synchronizes time automatically. If manual adjustment is needed, refer to the full user manual.
- Taupānga Kaore e Whakaatu Raraunga: Verify the display console has a stable Wi-Fi connection. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version. Re-bind the device in the app if necessary.
