Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.

4. Tatūnga me te Runanga

4.1. Installing the Chain and Guide Bar

Follow these steps to properly install the chain and guide bar:

  2. Remove the side cover by turning the lock knob counter-clockwise and detaching it.
  3. Carefully install the chain onto the guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges along the top of the chain point in the direction of the arrow on the guide bar.

  5. Reattach the side cover and turn the lock knob clockwise to tighten the guide bar and chain.
  6. Adjust the chain tension appropriately by turning the knob counter-clockwise until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the bar. Once the SDS knob is fully tightened, it ensures optimal chain tension is maintained.

  1. Locate the oil tank cap (yellow cap).
  2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with high-quality bar and chain oil.
  3. Monitor the transparent oil tank to check the oil level during operation.

5. Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere

5.1. Timata i te Kaitapa

  • For larger logs, make multiple cuts or use a wedge to prevent pinching.
