Operating the Storage Bed

The sweeek Avalon storage bed features a convenient gas lift mechanism for easy access to the under-bed storage compartment.

• Hei Tuwhera: Remove the mattress from the bed. Grasp the fabric handle located at the foot end of the slatted base. Gently lift the base upwards. The gas lift mechanism will assist in raising and holding the base in the open position.
• Hei Kati: Grasp the fabric handle and gently pull the slatted base downwards. Apply slight pressure to overcome the gas lift resistance until the base fully lowers and rests securely on the bed frame.
• Whakatupato Haumaru: Always remove the mattress before opening the storage compartment. Do not place hands or objects in the mechanism while opening or closing. Ensure the base is fully closed before placing the mattress back on the bed.
