This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Unitek DiskGuard Raiden 2.5" USB-C to SATA III Hard Disk Enclosure. This enclosure is designed to convert a 2.5-inch SATA I/II/III HDD or SSD into an external USB-C storage device, offering convenient data transfer and portability.

Follow these steps to install your 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD into the enclosure:

  1. Gently slide the top cover of the enclosure to open it. The enclosure is designed for tool-free access.

4.2 Installing the HDD/SSD

  1. Align your 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD with the SATA connector inside the enclosure.
  2. Gently push the drive into the connector until it is firmly seated. Ensure the drive is flush with the enclosure's internal tray.

4.3 Closing the Enclosure

  1. Slide the top cover back into place until it clicks securely.

  1. Connect the integrated USB-C cable from the enclosure to an available USB-C port on your computer.
  2. The enclosure is plug-and-play; your operating system should automatically detect the new storage device.
  3. If this is a new HDD/SSD, it may need to be initialized and formatted before use. Refer to your operating system's documentation for instructions on disk management.

5.2 Tohu LED

The enclosure features two LED indicators:

  • Rama LED Kakariki: Indicates power status. It will turn on when the enclosure is connected to a power source (via USB-C).
  • Marama LED kahurangi: Indicates read and write status. It will flash when data is being transferred to or from the drive.

5.3 Aratau Moe

The enclosure is equipped with a sleep mode function. If the drive is idle for a period (typically 10-15 minutes, depending on the operating system and drive settings), it will enter sleep mode to conserve energy and extend the life of the drive. The drive will automatically wake up when accessed.

7.3 Enclosure Gets Warm

It is normal for the enclosure to become warm during extended use, especially during heavy data transfer. This is due to heat generated by the internal HDD/SSD. Ensure adequate airflow around the enclosure.
