This document provides instructions for the HAIBOXING E785 Brushless Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and Receiver unit with an integrated cooling fan. This component is designed as a spare part for HAIBOXING 1/12th and 1/16th scale RC cars and trucks, specifically compatible with models 903A and 16890A.
The E785 unit combines the functions of an ESC, which controls the speed and direction of the brushless motor, and a receiver, which processes signals from your remote control. The integrated cooling fan helps maintain optimal operating temperatures for enhanced performance and longevity.

Tatūnga me te Tāuta
- Whakaritenga: Ensure your RC vehicle's battery is disconnected before beginning installation. Gather necessary tools, such as a small Phillips head screwdriver.
- Tango Wae Tawhito: Carefully disconnect all wires from the existing ESC/receiver unit. This typically includes motor wires, battery connector, steering servo wire, and any auxiliary wires. Unscrew and remove the old unit from the chassis.
- Tāuta Waehe Hōu: Place the new E785 unit into the designated mounting area on your RC vehicle's chassis. Secure it using the appropriate screws.
- Hononga Mōta: Connect the three motor wires from your brushless motor to the corresponding terminals on the E785 ESC. Ensure a secure connection. The order of these wires may affect motor rotation direction; this can be adjusted later if needed.
- Connect Steering Servo: Plug the steering servo wire into the designated channel on the receiver section of the E785. This is usually Channel 1 (CH1).
- Tūhono Pūhiko: Connect the battery connector from your RC vehicle's battery to the battery input on the E785. Ensure correct polarity.
- Herenga (mēnā e tika ana): If the new ESC/receiver unit does not automatically bind with your remote control, refer to your remote control's manual for the binding procedure. Typically, this involves holding a bind button on the receiver while powering it on, then activating the bind function on the transmitter.

Nga Tohutohu Whakahaere
- Whakahiko: Ensure the remote control is powered on first. Then, connect the battery to the E785 unit. The unit will power on, and the cooling fan should activate.
- Taki Mahi:
- Test steering: Turn the steering wheel on your remote control to ensure the front wheels respond correctly.
- Test throttle: Gently pull the throttle trigger to check for forward and reverse movement. If the motor spins in the wrong direction, reverse two of the three motor wires connected to the ESC.
- Mahinga Haumaru: Always operate your RC vehicle in a safe, open area, away from people, pets, and obstacles. Avoid prolonged full-throttle operation to prevent overheating, even with the cooling fan.
- Weto Whakakore: Always disconnect the battery from the E785 unit first, then power off your remote control.
Te tiaki
- Te horoi: Regularly inspect the ESC/receiver unit for dirt, dust, or debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to gently clean the cooling fan and heatsink to ensure proper airflow.
- Tirohanga Waea: Periodically check all wiring connections for looseness or damage. Secure any loose connections and replace damaged wires immediately.
- Rokiroki: When not in use, store the RC vehicle and its components in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disconnect the battery during storage.
