- Hei Whiwhi: Ensure the PTT button is not pressed. The walkie talkie will automatically receive transmissions on the selected channel and privacy code.
6. Mahi VOX (Te Whakawhitinga Reo)
VOX allows for hands-free communication. When activated, the walkie talkie will transmit automatically when it detects your voice.
- Pehia te MENU/Mana button three times. The VOX icon and sensitivity level will flash.
- Whakamahia te + or - buttons to select the VOX sensitivity level (1-3, with 3 being the most sensitive). Select WATE to disable VOX.

7. Rama Rama
- Pehia te Pūrama button once to turn the LED flashlight on.
- Pehia te Pūrama button again to turn the LED flashlight off.

The key lock prevents accidental button presses, maintaining your selected settings.
- Hei Maukati: Patohia me te pupuri i te Maukati button until a key icon appears on the display.
- Hei Wewete: Patohia me te pupuri i te Maukati button again until the key icon disappears.
9. Monitor Function (MON)
The monitor function allows you to listen to weak signals on the current channel, overriding any set privacy codes.
