This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your CHAUVET DJ COLORband PiX-M ILS moving strip light. The COLORband PiX-M ILS is a versatile lighting fixture designed to create dynamic sweeping effects, function as a pixel mapping effect, blinder, or wall-washer. It features ILS compatibility, D-Fi USB compatibility for wireless control, and a built-in RF receiver for optional remote control.

2. Nga Tohutohu Haumaru
Always follow these basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury:

3. Tatūnga
3.1 Te Wetewete
Carefully unpack the product and inspect it for any damage during shipping. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately. The package should include the COLORband PiX-M ILS unit and a power cable.
3.2 Whakapiki
The COLORband PiX-M ILS can be mounted on a wall or other suitable surfaces. Ensure the mounting surface is capable of supporting the fixture's weight (approximately 10.53 pounds). Use appropriate hardware for secure installation.
3.3 Hononga Hiko
Connect the included power cable to the power input on the rear of the fixture and then to a grounded power outlet. The unit operates on 2.4E+2 Volts AC and draws 0.72 Amps.

3.4 Hononga DMX
For DMX control, connect a DMX controller to the DMX IN port using a 3-pin or 5-pin DMX cable. For multiple fixtures, daisy-chain them by connecting the DMX OUT of one fixture to the DMX IN of the next.
3.5 Wireless Control Options
- D-Fi USB: Insert a D-Fi USB transceiver (sold separately) into the D-Fi USB port for wireless master/slave or DMX control.
- Mamao RF: The built-in RF receiver allows for wireless control using optional RFC or RFC-XL remotes (sold separately). Refer to the remote's manual for pairing instructions.
4. Mahi
The COLORband PiX-M ILS offers various control methods and operational modes.
4.1 Onboard Control Panel
Use the onboard display and buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) to navigate through the fixture's settings and select operational modes such as Auto, Sound-Active, or DMX address settings.
4.2 DMX Control
When controlled via DMX, the fixture's individual color control and movement functions can be precisely managed by your DMX controller. Refer to the DMX channel chart in the full product manual for specific channel assignments.
4.3 ILS (Integrated Lighting System)
The COLORband PiX-M ILS is compatible with the ILS ecosystem, allowing for synchronized lighting shows with other ILS-enabled fixtures. Configure the fixture to ILS mode via the onboard control panel or DMX.

5. Tiaki
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your COLORband PiX-M ILS.

- Kore Mana: Check the power cable connection, the power outlet, and the fuse. Ensure the voltage tika ana te tuku.
- Kore Putanga Maama: Verify the fixture is receiving power and is not in a blackout mode. Check DMX connections and settings if applicable.
- DMX Not Responding: Ensure DMX cables are correctly connected, the DMX address is set correctly on the fixture, and the DMX controller is functioning. Check for proper DMX termination.
- ILS Mode Issues: If the fixture is not responding correctly in ILS mode or movement is erratic, ensure all ILS-compatible devices are properly configured and connected. Verify the ILS master is sending the correct signals.
- Erratic Movement/Effects: Check for proper DMX or ILS signal integrity. Ensure the fixture is securely mounted and not obstructed.
