  2. Mounting the Sensor and Magnet:

    • Align the sensor unit on the door/window frame and the magnet unit on the moving part (door/window) so that they are no more than 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) apart when the door/window is closed. The alignment marks on both units should face each other.
    • Press firmly for at least 30 seconds to ensure proper adhesion.
  3. External Contacts (Optional): If using external contacts, connect them to the designated Strip and Stick terminals on the sensor unit. Refer to your security system's manual for wiring diagrams.
  4. Whakauru Pūnaha: Enroll the RE622 sensor with your compatible Alula security system. Follow the specific instructions provided in your security system's installation guide for adding new wireless devices.

The Alula RE622 Series CryptiX NanoMax sensor operates by detecting the separation of its main unit from the magnet unit, or the opening of an external contact connected to it. When the monitored door or window is opened, or the external contact circuit is broken, the sensor transmits a signal to your security system, triggering an alarm or notification based on your system's programming.

  • Tūnga Pūnoa: When the door/window is closed, the sensor and magnet are in close proximity, and the external contact (if used) is closed. The sensor is in a secure, non-alarm state.
  • Tūnga ohooho: When the door/window is opened, causing the sensor and magnet to separate, or when the external contact is opened, the sensor immediately transmits an alarm signal to your security panel.

6. Tiaki

  • Te horoi: To clean the sensor, gently wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the device, as this may damage the electronics or finish.
  • Whakakapinga Pūhiko: The RE622 sensor is battery-powered. While batteries are not included in the initial package, they are required for operation. When the battery level is low, your security system will typically indicate a low battery condition for the sensor. To replace the battery, carefully open the sensor casing (refer to your system's manual for specific instructions if needed) and replace the old battery with a new 3-volt DC battery of the specified type. Ensure correct polarity.
