The AWAIR Element is an advanced indoor air quality monitor designed to provide real-time insights into your home or office environment. It tracks key air quality parameters to help you understand and improve the air you breathe.
This device monitors the following five critical factors:
- Te pāmahana: Measures the ambient air temperature.
- Haumākū: Measures the moisture content in the air.
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2): Detects levels of carbon dioxide, an indicator of ventilation.
- Total Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Identifies various chemicals released from common household products and materials.
- Particulate Matter (PM2.5): Monitors fine inhalable particles that can affect respiratory health.

3.1 Whakatakotoranga Pūrere
For accurate readings, place the AWAIR Element in a central location within the room you wish to monitor. Avoid placing it near windows, vents, or direct heat sources, as these can affect sensor accuracy.

3.2 Te Whakakaha
- Connect the USB-C power cable to the AWAIR Element.

- The device will power on automatically. A blinking blue LED indicates it is ready for setup.

The AWAIR Element requires the AWAIR Home app for full functionality and data viewing. Ensure your smartphone has Bluetooth enabled and is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Download the "Awair Home" app from your device's app store (available for iOS and Android).

- Follow the in-app instructions to add your AWAIR Element. The app will use Bluetooth to discover the device and guide you through connecting it to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

4.2 Interpreting Data and Actionable Insights
The AWAIR Home app provides not only raw data but also actionable feedback and tips to improve your indoor air quality. For example, if VOC levels are high, the app might suggest improving ventilation or using natural cleaning solutions.

4.3 Historical Data and Trends
The app allows you to track air quality changes over time, view daily averages, and identify trends. This helps in understanding patterns and the effectiveness of any changes made to your environment.

The AWAIR Element can be integrated with smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control and automated actions based on air quality data.
5. Tiaki
To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your AWAIR Element, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Te horoi: Gently wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the sensors or casing.
- Tiaki pūoko: Avoid obstructing the sensor openings. Do not insert any objects into the device.
- Taiao: Keep the device in a stable indoor environment, away from extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
