5. Tāutanga
The IKC02-30B is designed for under-cabinet mounting. Refer to the included Installation Guide for detailed steps and diagrams. Key considerations include:
- Tauwāhi Whakapuru: Ensure adequate clearance above the cooking surface as per local building codes.
- Te whakaheke: This model supports exhaust ventilation. Connect to appropriate ductwork (top or rear exhaust options available). Ensure all duct connections are sealed to prevent air leaks.
- Hononga Hiko: The unit requires a 120V electrical connection. Consult a qualified electrician if you are unsure about wiring.
- Whakaeke Haumaru: Use the provided screws and mounting hardware to securely fasten the range hood to the underside of the cabinet.

Your IKTCH range hood offers multiple ways to control its functions:
6.1. Paa Paewhiri Mana
The front panel features intuitive touch controls for power, fan speed, and lighting.
- Pātene Hiko: Pēhia kia whakakā/whakaweto te kōwae.
- Tere Kiri: Cycle through 4 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High, Max) by pressing the fan speed button.
- Pātene Māmā: Press to turn LED lights on/off. Hold to adjust brightness.
- Taumahi Matawā: Activate the delay shut-off timer for automatic fan operation after a set period.
6.2. Gesture Sensing
Utilize the gesture sensor for hands-free operation, ideal when your hands are occupied or soiled.
- Turn On/Increase Speed: Wave your hand from left to right across the two sensing points. Each wave increases the fan speed.
- Decrease Speed/Turn Off: Wave your hand from right to left across the two sensing points. Each wave decreases the fan speed, eventually turning it off.
- Rama: A quick wave can also activate the lights.

6.3. Mana Mamao
