The RCF AYRA-FIVE-PRO is a professional 5-inch powered studio monitor designed for accurate audio monitoring in various production environments. This monitor provides a neutral sound reproduction tool, essential for analyzing recordings and optimizing audio mixes. It incorporates a powerful internal DSP for optimized frequency response and dynamics, along with RCF FiRPHASE processing to achieve an outstanding 0° phase response.

4. Hua Neke Atuview

The RCF AYRA-FIVE-PRO features a robust design with a 5-inch woofer and a 1-inch tweeter, housed in a rectangular enclosure. The front panel includes the speaker drivers and bass reflex ports, while the rear panel provides all controls and input connections.

4.2 Rear Panel Controls and Connections

  • HIGH FREQUENCY TRIM: Adjusts the high-frequency response (-1dB, 0dB, +1dB).
  • LOW FREQUENCY TRIM: Adjusts the low-frequency response (-2dB, 0dB, +2dB).
  • PUKA: Controls the overall output level of the monitor.
  • KORE WHAI TAUrite: XLR input for balanced audio signals.
  • KORE ŌWHIRITANGA KOREUTU: 1/4-inch TRS input for unbalanced audio signals.
  • Whakauru AC: Power connection for the included power cable (100-240 V ~ 50-60 Hz).
  • WHAKAMAHI KAUPAPA: Turns the monitor ON or OFF.

5. Tatūnga

5.1 Whakanoho

  • Place the monitors on a stable, flat surface, ideally on isolation pads to minimize vibrations.
  • Position the monitors to form an equilateral triangle with your listening position, with the tweeters at ear level.
  • Maintain a consistent distance from walls to avoid unwanted bass buildup or cancellation.

5.2 Hononga

  1. Ensure the monitor's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect your audio source (e.g., audio interface, mixer) to the monitor using either a balanced XLR cable or an unbalanced 1/4-inch TRS cable. Use balanced connections whenever possible for optimal signal integrity.
  3. Connect the supplied power cable to the AC INPUT on the rear panel of the monitor and then to a suitable power outlet.

  • To power on, ensure all connections are secure, then flip the POWER SWITCH to the ON position.
  • To power off, flip the POWER SWITCH to the OFF position. It is recommended to power off your audio source first, then the monitors.

Use the VOLUME knob on the rear panel to set the desired listening level. Start with a low volume and gradually increase it to a comfortable level.

6.3 Frequency Trim Controls

The HIGH FREQUENCY TRIM and LOW FREQUENCY TRIM controls allow you to adjust the monitor's response to suit your acoustic environment and personal preference. Experiment with these settings to achieve the most accurate sound for your room.

6.4 Hononga Nihokikorangi

The RCF AYRA-FIVE-PRO supports Bluetooth wireless communication. Refer to your audio source's Bluetooth pairing instructions to connect to the monitor. Once paired, audio can be streamed wirelessly.

7. Tiaki

  • Te horoi: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the monitor. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
