1. Unpacking and Component Identification:

  1. Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar.
  2. Align the chain drive links with the guide bar groove.
  3. Mount the guide bar and chain onto the pole saw body, ensuring the chain tensioner pin engages with the hole in the guide bar.

  5. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning screw until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely around the bar.
  6. Fully tighten the side cover nuts with the provided wrench.

3. Filling the Automatic Oiling System:

The pole saw features an automatic oiling system. It is crucial to fill the oil reservoir before each use to ensure proper lubrication of the bar and chain.

  • Locate the oil reservoir cap on the top of the saw head.
  • Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with high-quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or thin oil.
  • Monitor the oil level indicator during operation and refill as needed.
  • After filling, securely replace the cap.

4. Adjusting the Extension Pole:

The pole saw's length can be adjusted to reach different heights.

  • Loosen the locking collar on the extension pole.
  • Extend or retract the pole to the desired length (between 6.3 ft and 8.5 ft).
  • Securely tighten the locking collar to prevent the pole from slipping during operation.

Follow these guidelines for safe and effective operation of your SENIX electric pole saw.
