4.2. Tāuta Pūhiko
- Open the front cover of the thermostat.
- Insert two (2) AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- The thermostat will power on, and the display will activate. The batteries provide approximately 1 year of autonomy. The device includes a power reserve to maintain programmed settings during battery replacement.
4.3. Hononga Hiko
WARNING: Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker before proceeding.
- Remove the thermostat's backplate from the main unit.
- Connect the system wires to the appropriate terminals on the backplate. The contact rating is 8(5)A at 250Vac. Refer to your heating/cooling system's wiring diagram for specific connections.
- Secure the backplate to the wall using screws.
- Attach the main thermostat unit to the backplate, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
