To set up your decoder:
- Hononga Hiko: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input port (typically located on the rear panel) and then to a suitable power outlet.
- Hononga Whatunga: Connect an Ethernet cable from your network switch or router to the Ethernet port (typically located on the rear panel) on the decoder.
- Putanga Ataata: Connect an HDMI cable from the decoder's HDMI output port (typically located on the rear panel) to your display device (monitor, TV, projector).
- Audio Talkback (Front Panel): For two-way audio communication, connect a microphone or audio input device to the "IN" 3.5mm jack and headphones or an audio output device to the "OUT" 3.5mm jack.
- USB (Papa o Mua): The USB port can be used for firmware updates or connecting external storage devices as needed.

- After connecting all necessary cables, plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet.
- Ko te MANA LED on the front panel will illuminate green, indicating the device is receiving power.
- Allow a few moments for the device to boot up.
3.2 Decoding IP Streams
The MGW Ace Decoder is designed to decode HEVC/H.265 and H.264/AVC IP streams. Configuration is typically performed via a web atanga.
- Urunga Web Atanga: Tuwhera a web browser and enter the IP address of the MGW Ace Decoder. (Refer to your network configuration or device documentation for the default IP address or how to discover it).

- Configure Stream: Navigate to the decoding settings. Input the source IP stream URL or parameters.
- Start Decoding: Initiate the decoding process through the web atanga. Ko te WHAKAWAHI LED on the front panel should illuminate when a stream is actively being decoded.
- Tūnga Aroturuki: Ko te HD LED indicates if the decoded stream is High Definition. The HAPA LED will illuminate red if a critical error occurs.
3.3 Using Audio Talkback
- Connect a microphone to the "IN" jack and headphones to the "OUT" jack on the front panel.
- Configure talkback settings via the device's web interface to enable and adjust audio levels.
