It operates using 12 AA-type batteries, offering a stable power supply for demanding photography sessions. This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your P12-N battery pack.

2. Tatūnga

2.1 Te Whakauru Pahiko

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the AODELAN P12-N unit.
  2. Insert 12 AA-type batteries into the battery tray, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.

2.2 Connecting to Your Flash Unit

  1. Locate the external power port on your compatible Nikon speedlight (e.g., SB-5000, SB-900, SB-910).
  2. Connect the coiled cable from the AODELAN P12-N battery pack to the external power port on your flash unit. Ensure the connector is fully inserted and secure.
  3. Mount the AODELAN P12-N to your camera rig or belt using the provided carrying case for convenience.

Once connected, the AODELAN P12-N will provide power to your flash unit, significantly improving its performance.

3.1 Kei te Hiko / Weto

The battery pack does not have a separate power switch. It draws power as needed by the flash unit. Ensure your flash unit is powered on for the battery pack to function.

3.2 Performance Benefits

  • Faster Recycle Times: Expect approximately 1-second full power recycle times, allowing for quicker consecutive shots.
  • Extended Shot Capacity: Provides around 680 full-power flashes with compatible speedlights, extending your shooting duration.

4. Tiaki

4.1 Tiaki Pūhiko

  • Always use high-quality AA batteries. NiMH batteries are recommended for optimal performance and reusability.
  • Replace all 12 batteries simultaneously to ensure consistent power delivery. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different battery types.
  • Remove batteries from the unit if it will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and damage.

  • Clean the exterior of the battery pack with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
