Tatūnga

  1. Wewete ana: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts, including the motor base, low-profile 64 oz. container, lid, and tampā, kei reira mātou.
  2. Te horoi tuatahi: Before first use, wash the container, lid, and tamper with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The motor base can be wiped clean with a damp kakahu.
  3. Turanga: Place the motor base on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Container Assembly: Place the 64 oz. container securely onto the motor base. The container should sit firmly without wobbling.
  5. Hononga Hiko: Monohia te whakahanumi ki roto i te putanga hiko.

  1. Tāpiri Kai: Always add liquids first, followed by soft ingredients, leafy greens, fruits, and then ice or frozen ingredients. This layering helps ensure efficient blending.
  2. Te Tiaki i te Upi: Place the lid firmly on the container. Ensure the lid plug is in place.
  3. Whakahiko: Tahurihia te pātene ON/OFF ki te tūranga 'ON'.
  4. Mana Tere Taurangi: Turn the Variable Speed Dial to your desired speed. Start at a lower speed (1-3) for thicker mixtures or to chop, then gradually increase to higher speeds (up to 10) for smoother blends.
  5. Ahuatanga Pulse: For quick bursts of power or to chop ingredients, use the Pulse switch. This provides short, controlled bursts of blending at the selected speed.
  6. Ma te whakamahi i te Tampē: If ingredients get stuck or an air pocket forms, use the tamper through the lid plug opening to push ingredients towards the blades. Never use utensils or your hands while the machine is running.
  7. Stopping the Blender: Once desired consistency is achieved, turn the Variable Speed Dial back to '1' and then flip the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF'.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Vitamix blender.

  1. Whakapai-whaiaro: For quick and easy cleaning, fill the container halfway with warm water and add a drop of dish soap. Secure the lid. Start the blender on Variable Speed 1, then slowly increase to High. Run for 30-60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. Whakapai Hohonu: For more thorough cleaning, disassemble the container, lid, and lid plug. Wash all parts (except the motor base) with warm, soapy water and a brush if necessary. Rinse and air dry. The container is not dishwasher safe.
  3. Te Horoi i te Tūāpapa Mōta: Horoia te turanga motuka me te panuiamp kakahu. Kaua e rukuhia te turanga motuka ki te wai.
  4. Tiaki Mata: The hardened stainless-steel blades are designed for durability. Avoid blending non-food items that could damage the blades.

  • Kāore te Pūrere Whakaranu e Tīmata: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working outlet and the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. Check that the container is correctly seated on the motor base.
  • Ingredients Not Blending: If ingredients are not circulating, use the tamper to push them towards the blades. Ensure there is enough liquid in the mixture. Start at a lower speed and gradually increase.
  • Te wera nui: If the motor stops or emits a burning smell, the unit may be overheating. Turn off the blender and unplug it. Allow it to cool down for 20-45 minutes before attempting to use it again. Reduce load or add more liquid for future blends.
  • Loud Noise/Vibration: Some noise and vibration are normal, especially with thick mixtures or frozen ingredients. Ensure the container is properly seated and the lid is secure.
