3. Tohutohu Tatūnga
- Hononga Hiko: Connect the provided power adapter to the +5V to +32V DC input on the side of the DMON-4S unit. Ensure the power source is stable.
- SDI Input Connection: Connect your 3G/HD/SD-SDI video sources to the SDI INPUT 1, 2, 3, and 4 ports. SDI INPUT 2 and 4 also offer active loop outputs for signal pass-through.
- HDMI Output Connection: Connect your HDMI displays to the HDMI OUTPUT 1, 2, 3, and 4 ports. Note that these are mini HDMI Type C outputs. You may need appropriate mini HDMI to standard HDMI cables or adapters (one mini HDMI to HDMI adapter is typically supplied).
- Hononga USB (Kōwhiringa): For firmware updates or advanced configuration via a computer, connect a USB cable from the DMON-4S to your computer.

- Mixed Modes: Combine different functionalities, such as three SDI to HDMI converters with one Quad-Split output, or two SDI to HDMI converters with loop-through.
4.3. Format Conversion
The device supports conversion between various video formats (e.g., 1080p to 1080i) without loss of video quality. Access the 'Output Format' settings in the menu to select the desired resolution and frame rate for each HDMI output.
