The mattress stuffing is treated to be anti-bacterial. The Compact-Twin size is specifically designed to be smaller than a standard Japanese Twin size, making it suitable for small rooms, bunk beds, folding beds, or for children and petite individuals.

- Hipoki: It is highly recommended to use sheets or a futon cover to protect the mattress and comforter from dirt and wear, helping to maintain their appearance and cleanliness.
- Cleaning the Shikibuton (Mattress): The futon mattress is generally not designed for wet cleaning. Spot clean small areas with a mild detergent and damp cloth if necessary, and allow to air dry completely. Avoid saturating the mattress.
- Te Tohanga Hau: To prevent moisture buildup and maintain freshness, periodically air out the futon mattress and comforter. If possible, expose them to sunlight.
- Comforter and Pillow: The lightweight comforter is suitable for 3 seasons (Fall-Winter-Spring). The pillow is designed with a specific height and volume for comfort. Refer to specific care labels on each item for detailed washing instructions.
