- Assemble the Drum Stand:
Unfold the adjustable drum stand. Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely fastened. The stand is designed to be heavy-duty, double-braced, and features non-skid rubber feet for stability. Adjust the height and angle to a comfortable playing position, suitable for sitting or standing.
- Mount the Digital Drum Set:
Carefully place the AIL 602 digital drum unit onto the assembled stand. Ensure it is centered and securely attached to prevent movement during play.
- Connect Foot Pedals:
Locate the pedal input jacks on the rear or side of the drum unit. Connect the two foot pedals to their respective jacks. These typically control the bass drum and hi-hat functions.
- Tūhono Pūurutau AC:
Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN jack on the drum unit. Then, plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. Use only the provided AC adapter.
- Whakahiko:
Press the POWER button on the control panel to turn on the unit. The display should illuminate.

- Hiko Whakaka/Weto: Press the 'POWER' button to turn the unit on or off.
- Mana Rōrahi: Use the 'MASTER VOLUME' knob to adjust the overall output volume. For private practice, connect headphones to the headphone jack.
- Papa tairongo: The pads are designed to be responsive to various playing dynamics. Experiment with different strike forces to achieve desired sound variations.

- Kete tatūkē: Select from 20 pre-configured drum kits. Use the 'KIT' selection buttons to cycle through these options. Each kit offers a unique combination of drum and percussion sounds.
- Kete Kaiwhakamahi: Create and save up to 10 custom user kits. Consult the full manual for instructions on assigning voices to individual pads and saving your configurations.
- Waiata Whakaaturanga: The unit includes 1 demo song. Press the 'DEMO' button to play it. This can be useful for familiarizing yourself with the unit's sound capabilities.
Te tiaki
- Te horoi: Wipe the drum unit and stand with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Rokiroki: When not in use, store the drum set in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, disconnect the AC adapter.
- Tiaki Papa: Avoid striking the pads with excessive force or sharp objects, which could cause damage.

- Kore Mana: Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the drum unit and a working power outlet. Verify the power button is pressed.
- Kore Oro: Check the 'MASTER VOLUME' knob to ensure it is not set to minimum. If headphones are connected, ensure they are fully plugged in and functioning. Disconnect headphones to check speaker output.
- Kāore te Papa e Urupare: Ensure the pad is clean and free from debris. If a specific pad consistently fails to respond, contact customer support.
- Tū Haukoretanga: Re-check all locking mechanisms on the drum stand. Ensure the stand is placed on a flat, stable surface. If the angle adjustment slips, ensure the tightening knob is fully secured.
