- Whakakaha ana i te Tatau: The calculator is primarily solar-powered. Ensure the solar panel (located above the number display) is exposed to sufficient light for operation. While the main calculator function is solar, some sound effects may require 1 LR44 battery (not included).
- Organizing Play Money: Place the play bills and plastic coins into the designated compartments within the cash drawer. The drawer is designed to hold various denominations securely.
- Credit Card and Note Pad: Keep the pretend credit card and note pad accessible for role-play scenarios. The credit card can be swiped through the slot on the side of the register.

- Opening the Cash Drawer: Patohia te nui TUwhera button located on the right side of the keypad. The cash drawer will spring open with an authentic 'ka-ching' sound.
- Credit Card Swiper: Insert the pretend credit card into the slot on the left side of the register and slide it through to simulate a transaction.
- Note Pad: Use the included note pad to write down pretend receipts or calculations during play.
