Fly in open areas, maintain line of sight, and stay below 328 feet (100 m). Avoid obstacles, crowds, high voltage power lines, trees, airports, and bodies of water. Do not fly near strong electromagnetic sources (power lines, base stations) as they may affect the compass. Do not use in adverse weather conditions (rain, snow, fog, wind).
Li-Po Battery Disposal & Recycling: Do not dispose of with household trash. Contact local environmental agencies or recycling centers for proper disposal.
The Holy Stone HS260 drone features Propellers (A & B), an HD Camera, an Optical Flow Lens, and a Drone Battery compartment.
The transmitter includes a Phone Holder, Take Photo button, Record Video button, Left Joystick (for ascend/descend, rotate left/right in Mode 2), Right Joystick (for forward/backward, fly left/right in Mode 2), Power Switch, One Key Takeoff/Landing button, Speed Switch, Folded Handle, Headless Mode button, and a Battery Cover. It requires 4×AAA batteries (not included). Ensure correct polarity when installing batteries.
Left Joystick controls Ascend/Descend and Rotate Left/Right. Right Joystick controls Forward/Backward and Fly Left/Right.
To enter Mode 1, turn on the transmitter while holding the "Record Video" button until powered on. Left Joystick controls Forward/Backward and Rotate Left/Right. Right Joystick controls Ascend/Descend and Fly Left/Right.
Connect each propeller to its corresponding motor shaft (A or B) and secure with a screw. Ensure the correct "A" or "B" propeller is installed on the correct motor shaft for flight.
Installation: Remove the black insulation gasket. Push the battery into the drone compartment until a click is heard, indicating it's firmly installed. A loose battery can affect flight safety. Removal: Press the lock button on the battery and pull it back from the fuselage.
When the drone battery is low, indicator lights flash. Remove the battery, connect the USB charging cable to the battery charging interface, and plug into a USB charging port on a power bank or USB adapter (5V/2.0A). The indicator light on the cable turns on during charging and off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 60 minutes. Refer to the "Use of Battery" section in "Safety Guidelines" before charging.
Scan the QR code for the HS FPV V4 app on App Store™ (iOS) or Google Play™ Store (Android). Required OS: iOS 9.0+ / Android 5.0+.
Turn off Bluetooth, Mobile Data, and VPN. Go to phone's Wi-Fi settings, search for the drone's Wi-Fi (e.g., HolyStone-******), and connect. Enter the HS FPV V4 app. The drone's Wi-Fi network does not provide internet access.
Simultaneously push the left and right joysticks to the bottom right corner. Drone indicator lights will blink then turn solid, indicating calibration is complete. Calibrate after pairing and after any crash for stable flight.
Before takeoff, simultaneously push the left joystick to the bottom right corner and the right joystick to the bottom left corner. The motors will rotate, indicating they are unlocked.
Use only in emergencies to prevent damage or injury. Simultaneously press the Record Video button and the Lens Down button. The transmitter will beep once, and the drone will fall immediately. Be aware of potential damage from impact.
The drone has 2 speed modes (Low/High). Press the Speed Switch button to toggle. "Di" tone for Low speed (default), "DiDi" for High speed.
Take Photo: Short press the Photo button. One beep indicates a photo taken. Record Video: Short press the Video button. Two beeps indicate recording started. Press again to stop. Do not take photos during recording.
Adjust the camera tilt (up/down) using the dedicated buttons on the transmitter. The camera has a 90° tilt range.
After pairing/calibration, short press the Headless Mode Button to enter. Drone indicator lights will flash, and transmitter will beep continuously. Press again to exit (lights turn solid, one beep). In Headless Mode, the drone's forward direction is relative to its orientation at takeoff. It is recommended to face the same direction as the drone's head at takeoff for easier control.
Uses optical flow lens modules to acquire position information via visual images for precise positioning, typically indoors. Works best below 20 feet (6 meters). Precision is affected by light strength and surface textures. Exercise caution when flying over monochrome surfaces, reflective surfaces, water, moving objects, areas with dramatic light changes, extremely dark/bright surfaces, surfaces without clear textures, highly repeating textures, or surfaces tilting over 30 degrees. Maintain clean sensors. The vision system may not function properly over water, low light, or surfaces without clear patterns.
The drone maintains its altitude when the left joystick is released (it automatically springs back to the middle).
No. | Problem | Solution |
---|---|---|
