Mechanical Code Lock - Changing the Code

Mechanical Code Lock

This guide provides instructions on how to change the code for a mechanical code lock.

Changing the Code

1

Remove the door housing.

Unscrew the 2 screws to remove the door housing.

2

Press the C button fully.

3

Remove the back plate.

Turn the housing with the buttons and unscrew the back plate. Handle the plate carefully to prevent springs from falling out, then place it on a table without the springs.

4

The rider heads appear.

The rider heads appear, some colored red or blue, and one neutral colored head (the C button). The rectangular recesses must all face outwards from the housing; otherwise, the riders cannot be fully inserted.

Neutralize All Codes

5

Using the small pliers, remove all red and blue riders.

Note: The rider on button C, whose head is not colored, must remain in place.

IMPORTANT

When removing or placing a rider, constantly press the C button.

The code lock housing could be severely damaged if these precautions are not taken.

Choose a New Code

6

Place the red-headed riders in the slots corresponding to the chosen numbers or letters, respecting the insertion direction of the riders.

Place all remaining blue-headed riders in the free slots.

Reminder: Always remember to press the C button.

Reassemble the Housing

7

Reassemble the housing and verify the correct combination.

Before replacing the housing, check that the new code functions correctly after pressing button C.

8

Before replacing the housing on the door, verify that the new code functions normally after pressing button C.

Ensure the correct functioning of the lock.

9

After reassembling the housing on the door, place the 2 screws in their slots and tighten them.

Before closing the door, verify that the new code functions normally after pressing button C and the bolt.
